Godahl Day Parade

On Labor Day I had a great time shaking hands and meeting voters at the 60th annual Godahl Day parade (see above picture). MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –

This past Sunday I attended the Minnesota State Fair and visited with fairgoers who stopped by the Republican Party booth.  The fair was absolutely jammed and it was a fun experience.  Thanks to the many First District Republicans for volunteering their time on Sunday. Blue Earth County Pheasants Forever

MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –

My quest to attend all 21 county fairs brought me to Rochester, Garden City and Luverne this past week to visit the Olmsted, Blue Earth and Rock County Fairs, respectively. It’s always fun shaking hands and talking politics with fairgoers, small business vendors and 4H’ers. While in Garden City I spent time discussing issues with several sportsmen groups, including the Blue Earth County Pheasants Forever Chapter 915 (see picture above).

MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –

I grew up on a grain and livestock farm in Truman, so walking in Saturday’s Truman Days Parade brought back many great memories.  During the parade I shook hands with hundreds of friends and former schoolmates and also met the genuine Minnesota Twins pictured below. Based upon their expressions, it appears one of the twins is a solid Republican and the other undecided.
