Hagedorn Weekly Report #58

Rochester Parade

It was another excellent week of retail campaigning across southern Minnesota. I had a great time at the Fillmore County GOP picnic in Lanesboro and it was fun shaking hands and meeting voters during parades in Rochester (see above photo), Kiester, St. Clair and St. James.

We filmed two short videos, one in Rochester and another in Kiester, which were both very popular on our Facebook page.

Special thanks to the Olmsted (see below photo), Faribault, Blue Earth and Watonwan County Republicans for all their help and support!

Gun control is a glaring example of Congressman Walzdo's failure to honestly address the issues with First District voters.

It’s been almost 6 months since President Obama proposed new regulations to deny certain Social Security recipients the right to keep and bear arms; yet, Tim Walz has said nothing about Obama’s gun grab. Meanwhile, I addressed the matter the next day in this January 6, 2016, press release.

Even though the Orlando murders were perpetrated by an Islamic supremacist, President Obama, Hillary Clinton and the Democrat Party are bent to deflect attention from the murderer’s allegiance to radical Islam by pushing a gun control narrative.

Last week Democrats staged a sit-in on the House floor to demand a vote on legislation to deny 2nd Amendment rights to U.S. citizens and others placed on the federal government’s secret no-fly and terrorist watch lists.

I offered my commitment to the due process rights of Americans and my reasoning for opposing the so called “Terrorist Watchlist” proposal during a recent Mankato press conference (click for video) and in this press release issued June 24, 2016.

It’s time for Walzdo to stop hiding his positions on gun control and be honest with both the NRA and anti-gun activists. First District voters deserve a Congressman who will address the issues honestly and in a timely manner.

Press Conference

Recently I held press conferences in Rochester and Mankato and addressed the threat of radical Islam and offered solutions, including a refugee program “timeout,” to help prevent or minimize the likelihood of future attacks by Islamic terrorists. To review our campaign’s press release click here.

The United States is at war with Islamic supremacists who believe in the ideology of radical Islam. Our nation must stop importing potential enemy combatants from nations that hate America.

As far as I’m concerned, the era of political correctness is over. You can count on me to say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done to solve the many serious problems facing our nation.

Below are several news reports on my press conferences. Click to view.

Hagedorn - Walz

The Supreme Court is a huge election issue:

Last week the Supreme Court blocked President Obama’s executive amnesty for 5 million illegal aliens (a program Tim Walz voted for and strongly supports) on a 4-4 tie vote. The fact that four Justices would vote to enable a President to write immigration law from the Oval Office is alarmingly disturbing.

If Hillary Clinton is elected president she will nominate a liberal to succeed Justice Scalia and swing the Court decidedly to the left and enable amnesty, gun control and a host of other left wing policies. Click for more.

Where’s Walzdo on Obamacare?

Two articles – one reporting on potential higher 2017 premiums, and another documenting how 100,000 Minnesota families will lose their Blue Cross health care plans next year – were published this past week.

It’s been more than 6 years since Tim Walz voted for Obamacare, yet the incumbent has ignored the plight of southern Minnesotans who have been fleeced by the Act. Walz has refused to answer to First District residents by holding Town Hall meetings to discuss the law’s failure.

On the issue of Obamacare, southern Minnesotans are right to ask: Where’s Walzdo?

This week our campaign will hold fundraising events featuring Rep. Tom Emmer in Rochester and Mankato, and I am scheduled to campaign in Winona, Jackson and many other areas across the First District.
