HAGEDORN ENDORSED BY U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
“Will be reliable ally of job creators,” says Chamber
Blue Earth, Minnesota – Friends of Hagedorn, the campaign committee for Minnesota’s First District Republican congressional candidate Jim Hagedorn, today announced it has been endorsed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business organization.
In their endorsement, the Chamber stated:
“Jim Hagedorn has earned the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber because we know he will be a reliable ally of job creators as a member of Congress,” said John Kirchner, executive director of Congressional and Public Affairs for the Midwest Region. “The coming years will present opportunities to build upon recent pro-growth progress, and we’re confident Jim will deliver for the business community in Minnesota by pushing for policies that help them thrive and succeed, like tax reform and regulatory relief. The American economy is back on the right track, and sending a leader like Jim to Washington will help maintain the momentum.”
“Whether it be a large manufacturer, an agribusiness operation, a high tech company or a small ‘mom and pop’ convenience store, the businesses of the U.S. Chamber help form the economic foundation of our rural towns and cities, and I am honored to have secured their endorsement,” said Hagedorn.
“Our campaign’s positions of tax and regulatory reform, energy independence, free-market healthcare, and defense of farming and our rural way of life are long held beliefs of mine that dovetail with the priorities of the U.S. Chamber, and which have contributed to the economic growth of the past 18 months,” Hagedorn stated.
In the 2016 election, Hagedorn received 49.6% of the vote against six-term incumbent Tim Walz, who is not seeking re-election to Congress. Minnesota’s First District is considered the best pick-up opportunity in the country for U.S. House Republicans.
