Rep. Jim Hagedorn (MN-01) announced that 15 airports across southern Minnesota will receive transportation funding from the CARES ACT, which he supported in the House of Representatives in March.The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) grants for safety fixes and infrastructure improvements total nearly $3 million, including more than $2 million for Rochester International Airport (RST).

“Transportation and safety of southern Minnesota airports are critical for restarting local economies. Rochester Airport, for example, facilitates the transportation of tens of thousands of lab tests per day, including a large number of coronavirus tests, along with patients and medical experts around the world to the Mayo Clinic,” said Hagedorn
