Hagedorn eyeing flood threat

ST. PAUL – Congressman Jim Hagedorn of southern Minnesota said Monday he met with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Col. Sam Calkins of the Army Corps of Engineers, as well as other federal, state and local officials, to discuss the increasing threat of flooding and emergency preparedness in Minnesota.

Hagedorn says the record-breaking snowfall across Minnesota’s First District, combined with recent rainfall and warmer temperatures, has created flooding conditions that could pose a threat to property and the safety of southern
