Hagedorn, Lewis Rally Supporters in Rochester Campaigning In-person and Says They're Gaining Ground

It was a busy day of campaigning in Rochester on Saturday. Both Democrats and Republicans were holding events reaching out to voters.

Republican Congressman Jim Hagedorn and U.S. Senate candidate Jason Lewis were in town pushing to “flip Minnesota red.”

Hagedorn and Lewis spoke with volunteers before they went on door knocking on people’s homes and made phone calls convincing

Jim Hagedorn Stops in Albert Lea to See Construction at Former Elks Lodge Building

First District U.S. House Rep. Jim Hagedorn stopped in Albert Lea Friday to hear about construction underway at the former Elks Lodge, which is being turned into the new home for the Peterson, Kolker, Haedt & Benda law firm.

Lawyers Matt Benda and Dave Doppelhammer, along with construction superintendent Donn Richardson of Knutson Construction, met with Hagedorn and gave a short tour of some of the progress. Plans call for construction to be complete by Thanksgiving, Benda said.

Benda pointed out some of the changes in plans the business has made in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, including changing from cloth chairs in the lobby to ones that can be easily wiped off, along with other changes to help people feel safe when they

Feehan Financial Records Puzzling

Feehan Financial Records Puzzling

On Sept. 27, KEYC News hosted a debate between Congressman Jim Hagedorn and his challenger Dan Feehan.

Late in the debate, Hagedorn challenged Feehan regarding alleged payments Feehan had received from three Democratic groups to pay him to run for Congress. I have watched this portion of the debate multiple times. Hagedorn challenged that Feehan had received close to $500,000 from the groups.

Feehan did not ask for the names of the groups. Feehan said this was a fabrication. Feehan did not offer any explanation for any amounts he may have received and challenged “don’t attack my integrity.” Feehan described himself as an “unemployed guy” trying to earn the title of congressman.

Researching the Financial Disclosure Reports filed by Feehan, and signed by him, shows

Why I Am Now a Republican

Why I am now a Republican

I’ve been an Independent most my life; and have voted Republican and Democrat in the past. Three years ago I became a Republican. I changed because from day one the media and Democrats treated President Trump and his family terribly – and that continues to this day. They are often inaccurate and just plain mean. I do not want people running our government who are nasty and can’t be trusted to tell the truth. I have never seen hate like I now see from the Dems.I was taught that when I lost, to accept defeat graciously and then help the winner achieve their agenda. I feel it is wrong when the media and Dems obstruct everything the President tries to do, even when those things are good

Officer Arik Matson Returns to Waseca, Recovering from Shooting

Hundreds lined Waseca’s State Street Monday to welcome home Officer Arik Matson — who returned to the community for the first time since he was shot in the line of duty in January.

Matson was seriously injured when he was shot in the head more than nine months ago and has been making steady progress ever since.

“It’s absolutely just amazing,” said Matson’s grandmother Joyce Langerud. “You just can’t explain the feeling that you have.”

Escorted by a fleet of emergency vehicles, Matson got the chance to wave to the community that’s championed his recovery for almost 10 months

BLUE EARTH, Minn. — The Hagedorn for Congress campaign today released its fourth television advertisement of the 2020 election cycle titled “Clear Choice.”

In the 30-second ad airing throughout Minnesota’s First Congressional District, Hagedorn emphasizes the differences between himself and his liberal opponent, Dan Feehan, who would impose the radical policies of government-run healthcare, gun confiscation, and the Green New Deal.

The ad also highlights Hagedorn’s endorsement by President Trump and the Congressman’s bipartisan record of standing up for small businesses and farmers, protecting southern Minnesota’s hospitals, and defending law enforcement.

The ad is set to run across multiple broadcast, cable, digital and satellite networks through the November 3rd election.

Feehan’s Disclosures: A Closer Look

Feehan’s Disclosures: A Closer Look

I was startled to hear last week the allegation that Dan Feehan received nearly $500,000 from non-profit organizations throughout the past three years he’s been in Minnesota. I was even more shocked when the media brushed it off without much investigation. Because of this, I decided to look into the issue myself.

According to his own reports, the Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) paid Feehan $290,000 over the past three years, and $184,000 of it was given between August and December of 2018 during his run for Congress. This comes out to an hourly pay of over $270 an hour – and that’s if he worked seven days a week!

The New Politics Leadership Academy, a program that “encourages” left-leaning members of the military to run for office, paid Feehan $55,000 in 2019. However, the organization itself states that the fellowship program lasted a measly 4 months, meaning Feehan was paid almost $3,500 a WEEK
