In Hagedorn Weekly Reports #69 & 70 – Jim reacts to the St. Cloud Islamic attack; Fox News contributor Pete Hegseth campaigns with Hagedorn; Jim walks 5 more parades; Hagedorn holds ACA Town Hall Meeting in Mankato; Fundraising (send it in!); Debate Schedule Update; All Lives Matter!
ST. CLOUD ISLAMIC TERRORIST ATTACK –
The recent St. Cloud terrorist attack is more evidence that Minnesota has a terrorist recruiting problem from east African refugees brought into the United States under the existing screening process.
To defend the United States and keep you safe I stand for a refugee resettlement time-out and the establishment of safe zones to care for refugees in their home regions. See Hagedorn press release. Check out this news article from the Albert Lea Tribune comparing the Hagedorn-Walz reaction to the St. Cloud attack.
Meanwhile, Governor Mark Dayton and Rep. Tim Walz label those of us who want to deal with the problem as “unMinnesotan” and “Islamophobic.” Governor Dayton went so far as to encourage us to leave Minnesota! Click here for more.
PETE HEGSETH OF FOX NEWS CAMPAIGNS WITH JIM –
Just two days before the St. Cloud attack Fox News contributor Pete Hegseth joined me on the campaign trail in Faribault and Rochester. We warned of the threat of Islamic terrorism and discussed refugee migration, refugee assimilation and Tim Walz’s pre-9/11 idea to relocate Guantanamo Bay’s al Qaeda terrorists to Rochester’s Federal Medical Center.
Pete and I also campaigned in front of the Mayo Clinic and we advocated for the right of Veterans to choose their own doctors and hospitals, click here for video.
MAINSTREET CAMPAIGNING –
It has been a great two weeks of campaigning across the First District. We walked in five more parades (Mabel, Amboy, Mantorville, Worthington and La Crescent), I attended spirited GOP events in Watonwan, Brown and Olmsted Counties and I was interviewed by Jane Belau for her Rochester public access TV show.
Click on links for more details and pictures from my campaigning. For a full list of our parade activity click here.
HAGEDORN HOLDS HEALTH CARE TOWN HALL MEETING IN MANKATO –
Southern Minnesotans are not happy with the Affordable Care Act or their Obamacare congressman. Tim Walz made huge promises he did not keep and he has failed to even hold a Town Hall meeting on health care for more than 7 years. Clearly, Obamacare is a political albatross hanging around Tim Walz’s neck this election.
DEBATE SCHEDULE –
Our campaign has agreed to 9 debates across all regions of the First District. So far, Walz has agreed to participate in two debates (Mankato and Winona) and one brief 18-minute television forum. It would be a disgrace for Walz to avoid debates in Rochester, the largest city in the district, and southwest Minnesota.
See here for my press release and all the details.
GRASSROOTS FUNDRAISING –
As our campaign gains support and strength from First District residents, Tim Walz relies on DC lobbyists, political action committees and Twin Cities radicals.
I need your full financial support to pull off the biggest upset in this election cycle.
Please contribute $25, $50, $100 or even the maximum, per individual, amount of $2,700 to help me publicize Walz’s failed record and offer my solutions to defend America, spur economic growth and create high-wage jobs and protect our God-given Constitutional rights.
To contribute online click on www.jimhagedorn.org/donate or mail a check to: Friends of Hagedorn; 11 Civic Center Plaza, Suite 007; Mankato, MN 56001. Thank you.
