Keystone XL Pipeline:
Immediately following President Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline I issued this statement condemning the politics of global warming and providing my pro-energy and regulatory reform solutions to grow the economy, create high-wage jobs, place downward pressure on energy costs and make the United States energy independent.
KIMT-TV (Rochester–Mason City) Local Reaction to the Keystone Pipeline Decision:
Thanks to KIMT-TV and reporter DeeDee Stiepen for this coverage of my views on the Keystone XL pipeline. Note that a local DFL elected official maintains that oil is a “fuel whose time has past.” Liberals say and think the wackiest things.
On Veterans Day I issued this commentary offering 5 bold solutions I will champion in Congress to support veterans and active duty military personnel. Solution #1: Let veterans choose their own doctors and receive medical and psychological care whenever and wherever they see fit!
MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –
This week I had the honor of addressing the First District Republicans central committee meeting in Albert Lea.
My message to southern Minnesota’s GOP officials: With 52 Tuesdays until Election Day there is reason for optimism!
The national anti-Obama wave of discontent that led to Democrat Party massacres (see above chart) finally appears strong enough to affect Minnesota politics and sweep DFLers out of office.
Democrats are so weak that a recent KSTP/SurveyUSA poll shows Hillary Clinton trailing 5 Republican presidential challengers! If Hillary is losing statewide, then her numbers in the First Congressional District are even worse! And that means added vulnerability for my opponent, ultra-liberal “Twin Cities Tim” Walz, who shares all of Hillary’s socialist policy positions!
Last election we were outspent 6-to-1, and yet our campaign secured 46% of the vote and we carried a strong majority of precincts (click to view precinct chart). This is truly a swing district (Obama carried it over Romney in 2012, 49%-48%), so if we keep working hard and building our campaign, we can, and will win in 2016!

HAGEDORN vs. WALZ (ON THE ISSUES) –
We found Walz(do)…In China!
With Congress out of session this past week, we searched high and low in the First District for Congressman Tim Walz. But to no avail. Turns out that Tim is in China with Nancy Pelosi on a taxpayer-financed junket!
Of course, Tim didn’t want you to know he was burning all that carbon, flying across the globe, and wining and dining on your dime. So neither Walz(do) nor any of his 15 full-time staff members issued as much as a Tweet informing constituents of the congressman’s Veterans Day recess excursion. More on this to follow!
U.S. Appeals Court rejects Obama’s amnesty:
We issued this Facebook post to inform supporters of the U.S. Appeals Court ruling against Obama’s lawless and irresponsible amnesty for illegal aliens – a policy Tim Walz has voted for and supports. We must elect leaders committed to securing America’s borders and enforcing the laws of the United States.
Tim Walz failed the victims of Fort Hood:
November 5, 2015, marked the 6-year anniversary of the Al Qaeda Islamic terrorists inspired attacks at the Fort Hood, Texas, U.S. Army Base. I issued this straight-forward Facebook post to voice my support for veterans and disgust for the way my opponent turned his back on the Fort Hood victims.
THIS WEEK –
This week I’m scheduled to attend the Farm-City Breakfast in New Ulm, do some Main Street campaigning in Sleepy Eye, attend our Nicollet County fundraiser in St. Peter, attend the Elephant Club luncheon in Minneapolis, speak at the Watonwan County GOP Fall Banquet in Saint James, make fundraising visits across the district and keep fighting to take back this seat so we can take back our country!
Thanks for reading,
