Hagedorn Weekly Report #19

King Apple Parade

MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –

We concluded the main parade season by attending Sunday’s Applefest festivities in La Crescent. Our campaign had a great time walking the King Apple parade with Houston County Republicans and shaking hands and enjoying the community spirit with local residents.

Of all the pictures taken along the King Apple parade route, I most liked the one posted above. The lady and her family were very nice and jovial and the sign in the background says it all – TURN RIGHT!

Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and county GOP leaders who helped our campaign walk more than 25 parades this spring and summer. I so much appreciate your support and devotion to the principles of the Republican Party and the Conservative Cause.

FUNDRAISING (Please Give Today!) –

After consulting with national, state and First District GOP supporters of our campaign, we have set a goal of raising more than $250,000 by the end of 2015. This goal exceeds all contributions received by our campaign during the entire 2014 election cycle and our race against incumbent Tim Walz.

In 2014, our campaign raised $240,000 and was outspent 6-to-1, yet we still earned 45.7% of the vote and outpaced expectations. If we continue our hard work, stand for conservative solutions and raise more money, we can finish the job and defeat Walz in 2016!

Over the next 100 days I need your help to raise about $1,500 per day. That sounds like a lot, but consider:

If this week you and all who open this email newsletter contribute $100 (roughly $7.50 per month through the November 2016 election) our campaign will far surpass our 2015 goal of $250,000, and do so this month!

Hopefully you believe the fight to defeat Tim Walz – the most liberal Congressman ever to represent southern Minnesota – is worth an equivalent investment of $7.50 per month over the next 13 months. Your contribution of $100, or any amount from $5 to the $5,400 maximum allowed by law, is greatly needed and will be so much appreciated.

Please give today and help our grassroots campaign offset the corrupting $5,000 and $10,000 contributions “Twin Cities Tim” Walz rakes in from Minneapolis-St. Paul leftists, DC power-brokers, radical non-profits like Planned Parenthood, environmental extremists and other out-of-state liberals.

HAGEDORN vs. WALZ (ON THE ISSUES) –

Walz Votes to Deny Medical Care to Babies who Survive Abortion:

I issued this press statement blasting Tim Walz for two extreme pro-abortion votes he cast on the House floor this past week.

First, the above headline is absolutely accurate. Walz actually voted against a bill requiring that babies who survive an abortion be extended immediate medical attention and checked into a hospital. Walz’s position of denying care to a baby gasping for life, with a heartbeat, is barbaric.

Second, Walz voted against legislation to strip $500 million in taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood, an organization under fire for harvesting and peddling the organs and body parts of late-term aborted babies. For more on this, see below.

Walz is a pro-abortion extremist who is grossly out-of-step with the views of southern Minnesotans. Unlike my liberal opponent, I believe government’s responsibility is to protect those most vulnerable – children (born and unborn), the elderly, the disabled and citizens with special needs.

Walz #20 on Planned Parenthood’s All-Time Campaign Contribution List:

This Facebook post documented how Tim Walz is #20 on the list of Planned Parenthood contributions to House and Senate members since 1990.

Think about that, over the last 25 years, hundreds and hundreds of men and women have served in the U.S. House and Senate, yet a man representing southern Minnesota for 9 years ranks #20. Walz has taken almost $30,000 from Planned Parenthood. I call upon my liberal opponent to return the tainted Planned Parenthood loot.

EPA Power Plant Regulations:

In this Facebook post I make the case that Obama’s EPA remains out-of-control and the radical environmentalist policies of the Democrat Party are increasing your basic energy costs. I also outline my ideas to reform the federal regulatory process and promote energy independence.

THIS WEEK –

This week I will make Main Street campaign stops, challenge Tim Walz on the issues, hold a fundraising event in Mankato and make fundraising calls.
