Hagedorn Weekly Report #15

LeSueur County Republicans

MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –

For the second year in a row, I traveled approximately 3,000 miles and attended each of the First District’s 21 county fairs. I enjoyed spending time with GOP leaders at the Republican fair booths (see picture from Le Sueur County) and interacting with 4-H’ers, small business owners, farmers and other local residents.

By comparison and by all accounts, my opponent attended zero county fairs. After a decade in DC our congressman has become unwilling to engage everyday people and discuss the important issues facing our nation and state in unscripted settings.

In addition to visiting the Martin, Cottonwood, Houston, Le Sueur and Steele county fairs this past week I attended Mower County GOP’s Lincoln-Reagan Picnic in Austin, walked with Brown County Republicans in Sleepy Eye’s Buttered Corn Days Parade, enjoyed a picnic dinner with the Rochester Tea Party Patriots and met farmers and local residents at the grand opening of Kibble Equipment’s new Blue Earth showroom.

HAGEDORN vs. WALZ (ON THE ISSUES) –

Iran Nuclear Deal:

Tim Walz’s blind support for Obama’s Iran deal is exposing the naïve foreign policy liberal as a partisan willing to recklessly vote for a fatally flawed pact he hasn’t even read.  Clearly, Walz doesn’t understand the threat of radical Islam.

Unlike Tim Walz, I do not trust President Obama, the United Nations or Iran on this issue and I strongly oppose the Iran deal. To read my full criticisms of Walz along with my forward-looking foreign policy please see this detailed Facebook post.

The Soft Farm Economy:

I also issued this post on Facebook outlining what I’ve been hearing from farmers and several of my positive economic and tax policies to lower the cost-of-living and sustain family farming and our rural communities.

MEDIA –

Albert Lea Tribune: Thanks to Annie Schleck for writing this letter-to-the-editor published in the Albert Lea Tribune. Ms. Schleck alerts readers to the fact Tim Walz has accepted about $30,000 from Planned Parenthood and challenges the liberal abortion-on-demand congressman to return the money!

THIS WEEK –

This week I am scheduled to attend the Minnesota State Fair on Sunday, make fundraising calls and continue to offer my conservative solutions to wrestle power from Washington, D.C. and return it to the states and American people.

With appreciation,
