GOP LEADERS UNIFYING BEHIND HAGEDORN –
The Hagedorn campaign is humbled to receive expanding support from national, state and districtwide Republican officials and activists.
Recently, two more prominent Members of Congress formally endorsed my candidacy. I’m honored to receive the backing of U.S. Rep. Glenn “GT” Thompson of Pennsylvania, who serves as Vice-Chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture. Additionally, I’m grateful to receive endorsement from Congressman Frank Lucas of Oklahoma. Congressman Lucas is the former Chairman of the Agriculture Committee and currently serves as a Subcommittee Chair. (See press release.)
If elected to represent you in Congress, one of my top priorities is to serve on the House Agriculture Committee and work as a member of the Republican majority to sustain family farming and our rural southern Minnesota way of life.
I was raised on my family’s grain and livestock farm near Truman. My father (Tom Hagedorn), grandfather (Pete Hagedorn) and great grandfather (George Hagedorn) were all southern Minnesota farmers.
My appreciation and understanding of farming, agri-business and rural life runs deep. Much of our rural economy has been in recession since the mid-point of the Obama administration.
High input costs, combined with low commodity prices, massive regulations, Obamacare and counter-productive tax and energy policies are squeezing many southern Minnesota farmers, Main Street businesses and residents.
It is my passion to make a difference for all who reside in the First District, including especially those whose livelihoods are tied to our AG-based economy.
Thanks to our financial donors for helping us raise over $100,000 during the third reporting quarter of 2017. Friends of Hagedorn has now raised over $400,000 for the year, with $240,000 cash on hand. For more details, please review our press release.
While our early fundraising has been strong, the Hagedorn campaign must continue to build its war chest. With Walz not running for reelection, Democrats have lost the advantage of incumbency. In fact, MN-1 is the best takeover opportunity in the nation for U.S. House Republicans!
Democrats are already flooding our district with national money to support the campaign of a hand-picked Obama-Pelosi radical. So please consider making a contribution and help us prepare for 2018 and take back this seat.

BOSCHWITZ & GUTKNECHT ROCHESTER FUNDRAISER –
Please make plans to join us in Rochester on November 15th for a special lunch reception featuring remarks from former U.S. Senator Rudy Boschwitz and former First District Congressman Gil Gutknecht (click here to view invitation.) It’s an honor to receive support from such distinguished public servants. Thank you, Rudy and Gil!
MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –
Team Hagedorn is working across the First District almost every day. Recently we’ve walked door-to-door in several cities, including Eagle Lake (see picture above), made campaign stops across southern Minnesota and attended numerous GOP events (see picture below with Olmsted County Republicans).
Shaking hands and making one-on-one connections with southern Minnesotans is the best way to prepare to represent you in Congress. The Hagedorn campaign will continue to work exceptionally hard in all 21 of the First District’s counties through election day.
