HAGEDORN ENDORSED BY GOP COUNTY CHAIRS –
I am humbled to have received the early endorsement of 15 Minnesota First District Republican Party Chairs and Deputy Chairs, representing 12 of the district’s 21 counties and all geographic areas of southern Minnesota. Click here to read our press release.
Our campaign continues to build strong momentum following our razor close 2016 election with Tim Walz. For a list of post-election accomplishments, click here.

Check out this story published in The Hill concerning Minnesota’s hotly contested congressional races. Our campaign is prominently mentioned and University of Minnesota political scientist Larry Jacobs believes Republicans have the edge in MN-1.
Thanks to Minnesota Public Radio and reporter Mark Zdechlik for this story covering my recent campaign visit to St. Charles (see above photo).
Thanks also to reporter Heather Carlson and the Rochester Post-Bulletin for this article on the race for First District Congress, and thanks to reporter Trey Mewes and the Mankato Free Press for this report that mentions my appearance at the Godahl Days Parade on Labor Day.
Lastly, thanks to Minnesota State University, Mankato, student Derek Ringhand for this letter to the editor published in the Mankato Times highlighting State Senator Julie Rosen and State Representative Tony Cornish’s endorsement of my candidacy for Congress.
STATE FAIR / MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –
This may be the “off” year of the 2018 election cycle, but our campaign is in full general election mode. During 2017, alone, we are on pace to walk more than 50 parades, and I have already attended all 21 of the First District’s county fairs, the State Fair and made hundreds of campaign stops across southern Minnesota.
The highlight of my State Fair campaigning was participating in the Minnesota Republican Party’s forum for congressional candidates from districts one, seven and eight (see above photo). To view the hour-long discussion, click here.

HAGEDORN ON THE ISSUES –
Did you know the $300,000 raised by our campaign during the first half of 2017 outpaced every nonincumbent Republican House candidate in the nation?
Thanks so very much to all our donors, and thanks to our campaign team for doing such an excellent job helping me raise money!
This MN-1 open seat is the best U.S. House takeover opportunity in the nation for our Republican Party. Having come so close in 2016 (49.6%) and with 7 Democrats scrambling for attention and contributions, the Hagedorn campaign is in a strong position to win. But we take nothing for granted, and will continue to work very hard and keep raising the funds needed to deliver our winning message in 2018!
Please consider making a contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100 to help us achieve victory. Note: the maximum, per individual, contribution is $5,400 ($2,700 for the primary and $2,700 for the general election).
To make an electronic contribution, please visit jimhagedorn.org/donate or mail a check to: Friends of Hagedorn; 11 Civic Center Plaza, Suite 007; Mankato, MN 56001.
