Hagedorn Weekly Report #46

MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –

Last week I visited Washington, D.C. for Capitol Hill meetings to build support for our race. My talks with the Republican National Congressional Committee, various fundraisers and other GOP leaders went well.

It was an extreme pleasure to strategize with my friend and our campaign’s Capitol Hill point person, former U.S. Senator Steve Symms of Idaho (pictured above). It’s always great spending time with Senator Symms, who worked with President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s to rebuild America’s military.

GRASSROOTS FUNDRAISING –

Thanks to former State Senator and former First District Congressional candidate Mike Parry (pictured above) for sponsoring our Waseca meet and greet. Thanks also to Mike Enger and Bill Erickson and Terry and Kim Hummel for sponsoring fundraisers in Blue Earth and Jackson (see above), respectively.

Our grassroots fundraisers have been a good way to meet southern Minnesotans and continue to organize across the First District.

The campaign season is beginning to heat up and I need your full support. In 2014, our campaign held Walz to a 54-46% result, even though we were outspent 6 to 1. This time, let’s make sure we have the resources needed to finish the job and win.

Please consider making a contribution of $25, $50 or even $100 today. Electronic contributions can be made here or please mail checks to: Friends of Hagedorn; 11 Civic Center Plaza, Suite 007; Mankato, MN 56001. Thank you!

GOP COUNTY CONVENTIONS –

This weekend I am scheduled to attend the Freeborn, Blue Earth and Le Sueur County GOP Conventions. I’m looking forward to addressing the delegates and offering my message of reconnecting with the principles that will restore America’s greatness – Peace through Strength; free enterprise capitalism; limited government; the rule of law and defending our God-given rights, especially the Right to Life, the 2nd Amendment and religious liberty.

Three other counties will hold conventions Saturday – Houston, Brown and Fillmore. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend those events, but surrogates will provide delegates with a Hagedorn campaign update and seek support for my endorsement at the May 7th First District Convention in Mankato.

Thanks to publisher/editor Joe Steck and the Mankato Times for reporting on the Brussels Islamic terrorist attack and my policy of limiting immigration from nations that hate America. Click to read article

Hagedorn vs. Walz

HAGEDORN vs. WALZ (ON THE ISSUES) –

Obama Downplays Difference Between Capitalism and Communism:

I hammered President Obama and the Democrats for their continued love affair with the concept of utopia, as delivered by the communist/socialist state. To review President Obama’s ridiculous statement, as well as my positive reforms and solutions to weed out excessive government and to expand our economy, click on this hard-charging Facebook post.

Hagedorn is Pro-Life & Tim Walz a Pro-Abortion Extremist:

The national media focused attention on the abortion issue this week. You wouldn’t know it from media coverage, but the extremism on the abortion issue is on the Democrat side.

In this race, Tim Walz has voted to sanction sex-selection abortion and abortion in the 7th, 8th and 9th month. Walz is so extreme he even voted against a Republican bill to mandate medical care for babies that survive abortions. Walz’s radical votes are completely out-of-step with the pro-life views and values of most southern Minnesotans.

Meanwhile, I am pro-life and oppose abortion, except to save the life of the mother. Government’s responsibility is to protect those most vulnerable, especially little babies (born and unborn), the disabled, the elderly and those with special needs.

If elected to serve you in Congress I will always fight to protect the Right to Life.

Walz & Nolan Desperate on VA:

Tim Walz and Rick Nolan are desperate to be viewed as solving VA problems they helped to create with President Obama. Check out this Facebook post and news story that highlights their sad antics and my positive solutions to help veterans receive timely, quality medical and mental health care.

Obamacare Premiums/Deductibles Rising Faster than Wages:

Check out this news story documenting how Obamacare is crushing families across our nation.

Sadly, tens of thousands of southern Minnesotans are starkly aware that health insurance costs under Obamacare have risen far faster than wages. Tim Walz, who promised to live under Obamacare but exempted himself from skyrocketing premiums and deductibles, ignores your plight on a regular basis. It's time to replace both Tim Walz and Obamacare!

White House Censors French President for Saying “Islamist Terrorism”:

It’s not enough for President Obama (and ‘soft on Islamic terrorism’ Democrats like Tim Walz) to refuse to identify our enemy as “radical Islam,” this week the White House censored French President Francois Hollande for using the words “Islamic terrorism.” View story and video here

THIS WEEK –

This week I will be visiting the GOP County Conventions in Albert Lea, Mapleton and Le Center, as well as greeting residents at the Dodge Center Farm Expo, making fundraising calls and meeting voters across the First District.
