Hagedorn Weekly Report #11

MAIN STREET CAMPAIGNING –

I grew up on a grain and livestock farm in Truman, so walking in Saturday’s Truman Days Parade brought back many great memories.  During the parade I shook hands with hundreds of friends and former schoolmates and also met the genuine Minnesota Twins pictured below. Based upon their expressions, it appears one of the twins is a solid Republican and the other undecided.

Also this week I visited 4 more county fairs.  So far I have attended the Winona, Dodge, Waseca, Watonwan, Fillmore, Rice, Faribault and Jackson county fairs.

HAGEDORN vs. WALZ (ON THE ISSUES) –

Gun Free Zones on Military Bases:

It’s been thirteen days (and counting) since 4 U.S. Marines and an American Navy Sailor were murdered by Palestinian immigrant and Islamic terrorist Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez and Tim Walz has yet to acknowledged the tragic loss of life.

Secondarily, Walz has failed to explain his head-scratching support for Gun Free Zones on military bases and recruiting stations. Scores of defenseless, unarmed military personnel have been murdered and wounded during Walz’s 10 years in DC; yet, the congressman continues to cling to his irresponsible gun control position.

I support the reestablishment of 2nd Amendment rights for our military men and women.  To read my press release click here.

Walz Deserts Veterans to Fight for Federal Union Bosses:

We chastised Walz for voting against a bill (the “VA Accountability Act of 2015) to enable Obama’s dysfunctional Department of Veterans Affairs to more readily fire and demote rogue employees. In essence, Walz deserted veterans to save the jobs of VA bureaucrats and promote the interests of a big federal government union that has contributed more than $14,000 to the Walz campaign. As usual, Tim Walz’s support of veterans ends at the point Democrat politics begins.

Meanwhile, a pro-veterans group is pressuring Walz and other members of congress to vote for the bill.  To view, click here

“Late Term Tim” and the Planned Parenthood Scandal:

Our campaign issued a Facebook post assailing Tim Walz for voting for 7th, 8th and 9th month abortions, sex-selection abortions, federal funding of abortions and pocketing almost $30,000 in campaign contributions from Planned Parenthood, a left-wing federally-funded abortion mill under fire for peddling the organs of aborted babies.

Walz is 100% pro-abortion and grossly misrepresents southern Minnesota - where traditional values are still valued.  The vast majority of First District residents oppose federal funding of abortion and the grotesque, barbaric form of abortions “Late Term Tim” has voted for, repeatedly.

By contrast, I am 100% pro-life and believe it is government’s responsibility to defend innocent life, including especially the unborn, elderly, disabled and people with special needs. I believe Congress should immediately consider legislation to cut-off federal taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood.  Republicans in Congress must begin to fight to implement our conservative beliefs and ideals – on all issues of importance.

“Twin Cities Tim” Votes to Enable Sanctuary Cities:

I continued to hammer Tim Walz for his irresponsible support for President Obama’s lawless executive amnesty and open borders policies.  Check out this Facebook post highlighting Walz’s vote against legislation to block federal funds to sanctuary cities that harbor illegal aliens, including dangerous felons.  As usual, “Twin Cities Tim” Walz voted to protect the interests of Minneapolis-St. Paul and voted against the views of his predominately rural constituents.

MEDIA –

Mankato Free Press: The Free Press issued this news article highlighting Tim Walz’s anti-veteran vote against H.R. 1994, legislation to reform the VA and expedite the demotion or firing of bureaucrats for incompetence or misconduct.

THIS WEEK –

I will be attending the Olmsted and Rock County Fairs, challenging Tim Walz on the issues and making fundraising calls.

With appreciation,
