By Hannah Funk - KIMT News 3 – With only the businessman Donald Trump remaining in the running for the Republican presidential nomination, many GOP members are showing support while others aren’t.
Jim Hagedorn, Republican congressional candidate, says it’s a long way from the general election and many things can change.
However, he believes whoever is the party’s nominee should be supported by other Republicans.
“If anyone were to run as the third party, that would just represent a vote for Hilary Clinton,” said Hagedorn. “I stand with our Republican nominee and I’ve said that all along. Whoever wins, wins and the Republicans offer a big contrast to what’s going on with the Democrats.”
With Trump becoming the presumptive GOP nominee, he doesn’t believe his campaign will be affected and Trump will continue to go out and reach as many voters as possible.
