HAGEDORN MOVES UP NRCC YOUNG GUNS LADDER TO “CONTENDER” DESIGNATION
Blue Earth, Minnesota – Friends of Hagedorn, the campaign committee for Minnesota’s First District Republican congressional candidate Jim Hagedorn, today announced it has been given the “Contender” designation in the National Republican Congressional Committee’s Young Guns program, having moved up from the campaign’s earlier “On the Radar” title.
To reach this threshold, candidates had to prove their electoral viability by reaching certain benchmarks in fundraising, communications and campaign organization.
“Being designated a ‘Contender’ in the Young Guns program is confirmation by the NRCC that our campaign continues to meet and exceed the key metrics that will put us in a strong position to win the Primary and General Elections,” said Hagedorn. “Coupled with our strong, first ballot Republican Party endorsement, our growing campaign team and our numerous endorsements by well-respected Republican legislators and activists, I’m confident our momentum will only accelerate in the weeks ahead,” stated Hagedorn.
This is the fourth cycle of the “Young Guns” program, which was launched in 2007 by Speaker Paul Ryan, current House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.
