AS ISLAMIC TERRORISTS ATTACK, KILL AND WOUND, TIM WALZ WARNS OF THE RADICAL TEA PARTY AND GLOBAL WARMING
Blue Earth, MN – Republican congressional candidate Jim Hagedorn issued the following statement related to the issue of Islamic terrorism:
As we have observed once again, Islamic supremacists are at war with freedom and the “infidel.” It is long past time to acknowledge the existence of this war and fight back.
The threat of Islamic supremacy is real, global and growing. As the latest attack in France confirms, the enemy will use any and all means to kill, maim and inflict great physical, psychological and economic damage.
Unfortunately, my opponent, incumbent DFL Rep. Tim Walz, has never made this issue a priority.
During the 10 years Walz has been in Congress, Islamic terrorists have perpetrated 23,886 attacks, killing 159,272 and wounding 215,989 (see www.myreligionofpeace.com for details).
And what has been my opponent’s response?
While Islamists were waging global jihad, Walz refused to identity our enemy as "radical Islam,” and instead used his congressional office to warn of the “radical Tea Party” and the dire threat to humankind from global warming.
Unlike Walz, I have been a consistent leader on the issue of Islamic terrorism and have offered many bold ideas to defend the United States and protect the American people from future attacks.
For example, because Minnesota has a terrorist recruiting problem from existing East African refugees, I called for a refugee program "timeout" and did so long before the Paris and San Bernardino attacks and even before Donald Trump made Muslim immigration an issue in the presidential campaign. Ridiculously, Walz thinks commonsense proposals like mine are unMinnesotan and Islamophobic.
Our nation (and the free world) is at war with Islamic supremacists who follow the ideology of radical Islam. We must protect our country and defend our borders from radicals trying to migrate from anti-American nations. I am committed to protecting the American people from radical Islamists devoted to Sharia Law, jihad and the global supremacy of Islam.
Obama, Walz and the rest of the politically correct and naïve left, along with some misguided Republicans, have their heads in the sand on this critical issue. It's time to elect national leaders willing to identify the threat of radical Islam and deal with it forcefully, both home and abroad. If we fail to do so, we will eventually lose our American way of life.
The people of southern Minnesota can count on me to work with President Trump to take every step needed to prevent or minimize the likelihood of future attacks from Islamic supremacists.
